THE MISSION

Fondazione Giuseppe Camerini

The non-profit Giuseppe Camerini Foundation (Fondazione Giuseppe Camerini) was founded in 2022 by Lucia, the artist’s wife, to honour the memory of her husband. The Foundation carries on work of cultural and philanthropic interest with the aim of pursuing—without profit—civic, solidarity, and social utility objectives, in particular concerning the organisation and management of artistic and recreational activities, for the protection and enhancement of the memory and integrity of the work of the engineer Giuseppe Camerini.

The Foundation is involved in the organisation of exhibitions, cultural events, and landscape protection, taking care of the three areas most dear to the artist: the house and park called “La Guardiola” (“The Lodge”), on the far eastern side of the Gulf of Procchio on Elba, the exposition space “IMÀGO” in Varese, and the Atelier in Milan where Giuseppe Camerini would usually work.

The Foundation is involved in the timely archival of the artist’s works and writings, so as to enhance his unceasing creative fervour, which lasted a whole lifetime. The Foundation aims at preserving Camerini’s spiritual and cultural identity, precious too for the generations to come: artists, thinkers, lovers of art and nature, and “sky gazers” in search of new constellations.
